Maeve is sister to one of our previous long stay girls Dora. Maeve is on the shy side but so far despite having her tail firmly tucked under, she has been fine to go out walking with some of our dog walkers in the local area.

When Maeve knows you, which really doesn't take long at all, she has a playful and mischievous nature. She's also a talker and a dog you can have a full blown conversation with. This usually happens at bedtime where she'll go into full on chatter mode, then ask for a belly rub whilst using her front feet like a cat to swat at you playfully. It's all part of her bedtime routine. Sometimes she'll have a natter with you after breakfast or if she thinks something is particularly important that you need to know before getting her in from the outside exercise paddocks. She is a big foody so treats will go a long way in earning this girls trust.

Maeve is currently kennelled with a boy (AJ) but there is a possibility that she could live with the right female hound.

At this time we would not home Maeve with children due to her shy nature. We may consider homing with children once we have got to know her personality better and seen how she interacts with visiting children.

Maeve cannot live with cats and hasn't been tested with other breeds.
