Bullseye — The Gentle Giant With a Mischievous Spark
Bullseye is a big, beautifully marked lad with a striking black patch over one eye and a freckled white coat that makes him stand out instantly. He’s settled into kennel life well and has become a genuinely lovely boy to walk — calm, steady, and happy to trot alongside his handler, checking in often with soft eyes and a gentle nature.
He enjoys fuss and affection but isn’t over the top about it. No jumping, no flinging himself at you — just polite, sweet appreciation. He’s the kind of dog who quietly wins you over.
Out and about Bullseye walks beautifully on the lead and enjoys a good sniff around green spaces. He’s not quite as confident as his sister Lily (adopted earlier this year), but he copes well with traffic and new environments. He can be a little flighty or unsure when surprised by unfamiliar men or unexpected objects, so he’ll benefit from patient reassurance and gentle exposure to the world at his own pace.
He hasn’t had much experience with other breeds yet, so he’ll need continued socialisation outside the kennel. He cannot live with cats.
His Secret Silly Side - Behind his calm exterior is a wonderfully playful streak. Bullseye loves trying to get the neighbouring dogs to join in his fun, and in the paddock he lets loose — running around like a joyful loon, making his own entertainment, and thoroughly enjoying himself.
His kennel tells the story of his personality:
-Morning: bed neat as a pin
-Evening: bedding tossed everywhere after his “second wind”
He never chews — he simply redecorates.
Last toilets at night are also his time for a quick zoomy session before he settles down and sleeps soundly through the night.
He’s a good eater, though he always leaves a tiny mound at the bottom of the bowl — his signature move.
The Home Bullseye Needs - Bullseye would thrive in a calm, understanding home that appreciates both his gentle nature and his silly, playful moments. He could live with:
-Greyhound-savvy or large-dog-savvy children (pending introductions)
-A greyhound female who's willing to tolerate his sometimes overly enthusiastic play or who is at least willing to tell him when he's being too much.
-A patient adopter who can help build his confidence and continue his socialisation with other breeds
Bullseye is a big lad with an extra-long snoot and, let’s be honest, not the brightest spark in the box — but that only makes him more endearing. He’s sweet, sensitive, a little goofy, and full of heart.
In Summary - Bullseye is a gentle, affectionate boy with a hidden mischievous streak and a whole lot of love to give. He’s easy to walk, fun to watch, and a joy to be around. With the right home, he’ll blossom into a confident, happy companion who brings laughter and warmth to every day.
