Lucky girl got reserved shortly after arrival

Molly is our newest whirlwind at Greyhound Trust Harvel. She’s a 4-year-old black girl who’s still gaining weight after her neuter and will settle around 27kg once she’s fully recovered. She is dynamic, bold, happy and friendly — a proper wiggle monster who finds standing still overrated. She’s bouncy and inquisitive when walked to the paddocks, loves her food, loves her bed, and absolutely loves people.

She’s still new to Harvel, so we’re learning her likes and dislikes. Early signs suggest she’s a girl who won’t tolerate any nonsense from a companion and, in classic girl-hound fashion, will be firmly in charge. She's not a huge fan of some of our female greyhounds so caution will need to be taken when introducing her to other females outside the home.

When she’s playful she can be mouthy with hands and uses her feet to play and jump up, so she’s best suited to homes without young children or children who aren’t dog-savvy. She can be a bit bargy as she is just eager to get out and about. She can also be a little vocal if she wants your attention. 

With the multiple heat waves we are finding that she's not a fan of the heat and it takes her time to calm down after being outside. She is a girl that loves a fan and will stand and wait for you to put it on before going to lie down. She's certainly got a cheeky personality waiting to come out fully.
